Welcome fellow beekeepers

Being a beekeeper is amazing. Whether you're a hobbyist, a sideliner or a professional pollinator, there simply isn't a greater pleasure than knowing you're caring for an animal that could be the single most important species to human survival. Because of the honey bee's ability to pollinate plants, they provide 1/3 of the food we eat (fruit & veggies), the honey they make has many medicinal uses and the wax they produce is used to make candles and beauty products. I personally can't think of a better way to help my fellow man than by being a beekeeper.

Honey stand is open Monday - Sunday: 8 am - 7

Great news! Thurman Burnley of Burnley Farm Apiary and MacDonald Drane of Landscapes by MacDonald have teamed up and started a new company:

B & D Botanicals

A Nursery for the Modern Day Homesteader.

We have acquired a 23 acre nursery in Hanover County, VA so we can better provide for our community. Our plans include propagating our own stock, offering fruit bearing plants and trees as well as beautiful landscape plants, giving the FFA a place to learn and work, having a pick your own berry patch and pumpkin patch, growing Japanese maples and so much more. The next few years will be tough as we breath life back into our new farm but we're going to give it everything we have. Please follow along as make the transformation at https://banddbotanicals.wixsite.com/home
